2021 Pikes Peak APEX Strava Challenge Update
We hit go on our 2021 Strava Challenge just 10 days ago and already the existing KOM has been broken! Nick Gould, our 2020 winner, went out last weekend and crushed it up Mt. Herman to start off the challenge with a bang. His time of 36.54 knocked 2 minutes off the previous best time set back in 2014. The good news is that everyone has almost two more weeks to knock Nick out of that KOM spot, and the same for the ladies for the QOM.
Rider Spotlight: Evelyn Dong
I spent some time last month video chatting with Evelyn Dong from her home in Park City, Utah. We covered all the basics - What bike will she ride? What fuel will be in her pocket? How fat will her tires be? Where's she racing this season? How can we bring more women to the sport? But, we came out of this interview with way more.

Rider Spotlight: Chloe Woodruff
There weren’t a ton of options for racing in 2020, and the inaugural Pikes Peak APEX presented by RockShox was one of a handful of races. With a COVID-19 Mitigation Plan in place, the event was able to pull off 4 days of action. Chloe Woodruff, one of the top mountain bike racers in the country, took notice. Chloe competed for Team USA in the 2016 Rio Olympics and is part of the Tokyo 2021 long team.
