There weren’t a ton of options for racing in 2020, and the inaugural Pikes Peak APEX presented by RockShox was one of a handful of races. With a COVID-19 Mitigation Plan in place, the event was able to pull off 4 days of action. Chloe Woodruff, one of the top mountain bike racers in the country, took notice. Chloe competed for Team USA in the 2016 Rio Olympics and is part of the Tokyo 2021 long team.

Russell Finsterwald Welcomes Competition From First 2021 Rider to Sign Up

When registration opened for the 2021 Pikes Peak APEX presented by RockShox, Tom Turney, from Monument, Colorado was the first to sign up.
