Sports Strategies announces a successful close to the 2021 Pikes Peak APEX presented by RockShox following 4 days, 120 miles of dirt and over 15,000 feet of climbing. Alexis Skarda and Keegan Swenson, both from Santa Cruz/SRAM, beat strong fields to win the overall general classification at The APEX. The men’s field featured a who’s-who of American mountain bike racing plus EF Education-Nippo riders Lachlan Morton and Alex Howes, while the women’s field ended up being a tight three-way battle between three well-known domestic pros.

After a beautiful day in Palmer Park and an impressive field of riders, Stage 1 ended with Sofia Gomez Villafane in the lead for the women and Keegan Swenson in the lead for the men. Congratulations to both and best of luck to everyone tomorrow for Stage 2.

The APEX Welcomes EF Pro Cycling Riders Lachlan Morton & Alex Howes to COS for 2021

Sports Strategies announces EF Pro Cycling riders Lachlan Morton and Alex Howes will be coming to Colorado Springs for the 2021 Pikes Peak APEX presented by RockShox. Morton, native of Australia, and Howes, from Colorado, are both living in Colorado and will have an opportunity race close to home.
