Sports Strategies announces the first APEX Outdoor Festival & Expo at the 2021 Pikes Peak APEX presented by RockShox. Day 3 of The APEX will feature something for everyone, bringing together Colorado Springs locals, out of town visitors and APEX riders in America The Beautiful Park.

The BEET: Episode 4 with Becky Mikrut

Becky Mikrut brings The BEET in this episode. Becky made her debut in the Women's Pro XC race just a couple of weeks ago in Winter Park, Colorado, during USA Cycling's National Championships. Designer by day and cross country racer by passion, Becky created the Sugar Beets' team jerseys this season. She's taking a bit of rest post XCO season, and then readying herself for Pikes Peak APEX! It'll be her first time at The APEX, and participating in any kind of stage event, but her background as a cycling coach has helped her shape a solid roadmap. Watch as she shares her plans to smash it come September!

We know that some of you may not be up to 4 days of riding, and we have two other options for you. Thursday's Stage 1 and Saturday's Stage 3. In the last few weeks, it has been very exciting to see athletes from different cycling backgrounds signing up for The Pikes Peak APEX. We recently shared 15 time Cyclo-Cross National Champion Katie Compton will be joining us, its rumored Enduro star Mitch Ropelato will be on the start line and last week it was announced that two-time XTERRA World Champion Bradley Weiss will also be joining us in September!

Telluride 100 Serves as Pioneer for MTB Events Surviving COVID-19 and Precursor for The APEX

Last Saturday, race organizer Tobin Behling became a pioneer for mountain bike events in this new era of COVID-19. Fans of the sport were watching closely and hopefully, as so many other events have fallen, or fallen out of favor. With few surviving and a limited calendar remaining for 2020, we were all rooting for the Telluride 100 to pull off a safe and fun event.
