Skarda and Swenson Conquer 2021 Pikes Peak APEX presented by RockShox

Sports Strategies announces a successful close to the 2021 Pikes Peak APEX presented by RockShox following 4 days, 120 miles of dirt and over 15,000 feet of climbing. Alexis Skarda and Keegan Swenson, both from Santa Cruz/SRAM, beat strong fields to win the overall general classification at The APEX. The men’s field featured a who’s-who of American mountain bike racing plus EF Education-Nippo riders Lachlan Morton and Alex Howes, while the women’s field ended up being a tight three-way battle between three well-known domestic pros.

2021 Awards

We were back to America The Beautiful Park for the final day - Stage 4: Cheyenne Canyon. Same start line, but this time riders headed towards Cheyenne Canyon and Capt'n Jacks before returning to receive their finishers glass and a non-alcoholic beer from Athletic Brewing Company. After cooling down, everyone met up at Goat Patch Brewing for the APEX Awards & After Party co-hosted by Springs Wealth Group.

2021 Stage 3 Leaders

Today we rolled out of America The Beautiful Park for the Gold Camp stage. Riders were called up to the start line positioned in downtown Olympic City, USA between the bridge to the US Olympic & Paralympic Museum and The APEX Outdoor Festival & Expo. Stage 3 ended with Alexis Skarda and Keegan Swenson leading.

2021 Stage 1 Leaders

After a beautiful day in Palmer Park and an impressive field of riders, Stage 1 ended with Sofia Gomez Villafane in the lead for the women and Keegan Swenson in the lead for the men. Congratulations to both and best of luck to everyone tomorrow for Stage 2.

ASSOS USA and The Pikes Peak APEX Invite You to The Hunt

Colorado Springs, CO, June 9, 2020 - ASSOS USA is partnering with The Pikes Peak APEX presented by RockShox to create The Hunt—a two-week scavenger hunt on some of the most iconic mountain bike trails in North America. Prizes will be hidden by ASSOS athletes on the Pikes Peak APEX course as well as other locations around North America.  Prizes include ASSOS gear and hints will be posted on the Pikes Peak APEX Instagram account starting June 9th.
