A veteran of The APEX, BC Bike Race, and just coming off a 3rd place finish in the 3-day edition of Breck Epic, Maria knows a thing or two about big adventures! The Sugar Beets Cycling rider isn’t into race placement—she was thoroughly surprised to learn she was competitive in the Breck Epic. For Maria, an event is about immersing yourself in nature, enjoying the journey, and embracing the people you meet along the way. Not physically embracing these days! It’s more about being present and celebrating life. But we’ll let her tell you the rest in Episode 5 of The BEET.
In the latest Rider Spotlight we catch up with Andrew Morris, who has dreams of racing cross Country World Cups and maybe the Olympics someday. Last September, Andrew was just 14 years old when he finished 16th in the U23 category at Pikes Peak APEX presented by RockShox. Now 15, he just won his first National Championship in the Freshman category of USA Cycling’s High School Festival.
