Cheyenne Canyon
presented by Heuberger Subaru
27.8 miles + 3,820 feet of climbing

The final stage of the 2022 Pikes Peak APEX presented by RockShox will leave America the Beautiful Park in downtown Colorado Springs and take riders up through Bear Creek Regional Park. After the tough climb up High Drive, riders will roll down to Gold Camp Road and climb up the entrance of the new Daniel’s Pass trails. Riders will experience the new trails in Sweetwater Canyon and drop down into the canyon, crossing Cheyenne Canyon Road and climbing back up to Gold Camp Road. The final big climb of the day sees the cyclists pedal up to Mt. Buckhorn and descend down the infamous Captain Jack’s Trail.
New for 2022, we have added the Pikes Peak APEX Run that start runners behind the cyclists. We'll add some mileage for them so that the fastest runners won't catch the slowest riders, and everyone will be able to enjoy the same course.
As everyone finishes they will head back to America the Beautiful Park for The APEX After Party. We'll have the beer waiting for you, compliments of Fat Tire. Celebrate, grab some lunch and enjoy live music all afternoon at The APEX Outdoor Festival & Expo!
